What Is Karaoke? Karaoke started in Japan over 20 years ago.The word  "KARAOKE": is a Japanese word meaning "empty orchestra". Simply put, Karaoke is  you and your guest singing along with your favorite songs. What makes Karaoke unique is that the  music has the original vocals deleted. The song lyrics appear on a TV monitor  to help keep the singer(s) in sync with the music  Karaoke provides an entertaining evening, and is fun and easy  for guests of all ages. For increased fun, includeKaraoke at your next party!

We offer two karaoke packages:

Karaoke And A DJ : This is the most  common Karaoke service. By combining a DJ  performance with Karaoke, you & your guests will be dancing and singing all night long. With  the DJ/Karaoke combo, the DJ can either play background music or start the guests dancing,   this is beneficial if your guests are yet not ready to sing,  Then, as the party progresses, your  guests may feel less inhibited to sing. The DJ can then play a "Karaoke" set to accomodate   these "superstars in the making".Once the singers are finished wowing the crowd, the party  music will resume. Occasionally, the guests are so into dancing that they don't want to break   for a Karaoke singer. If this happens, the DJ will simply encourage others to perform as the singer's background dancers.

Stand - A - Lone Karaoke:This karaoke package provides sing-a-long fun for  everyone. This package is perfect as the main entertainment at a function where dancing is not  expected, or as a supplement to other forms of entertainment such as bands, school fairs,  corporate parties or talent shows.

When Should You Use Karaoke?Karaoke is a perfect compliment to standard DJ   performances,  breaks during band performances, or as  the main entertainment.Karaoke can be used at events such as:Corporate Events, school dances & functions, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, All  Night Lock-ins & Graduation Parties, Sales Meetings & Promotions, Employee Reward Parties , Teen Parties , Talent Contests, elementary school events and school fairs, and many others

How does the Karaoke service differ for each event?

Karaoke at Kids Parties. Kids love Karaoke!!! You cannot go wrong with having a Karaoke kids party. School dances, fairs, lock-ins, all night Graduation Party, after Prom   parties, Birthday Parties or any other occasions are perfect for Karaoke! Kids love to sing and are not shy to perform and show off!. Combine Karaoke with a DJ playing fun party music and   line dances, hosting games & contests, and you will be the host of THE party that your guests will never forget.

Karaoke During Band Breaks. Karaoke can provide great fun during band breaks!  Karaoke allows the guests to become the stars. Most bands either play pre-recorded music or  no music at all during their break. This break in the entertainment can dampen the party! By  using Karaoke during the breaks, the party keeps going until the next band set. Your guest will  love to be the "star of the show" and the others can sing along or dance to the singer(s)  performance.

Karaoke at Corporate Events. Karaoke and Corporate Functions can be great fun!.  Knowing the type of party will help you decide how to best utilize karaoke. First, lets look at  some basic limitations of Karaoke in the corporate world and then we'll discuss some options  to overcome these limitations.

Worker Inhibition In The Corporate Environment: At any corporate party where management is  watching, employees could possibly feel hesitant to join in the activities. Additionally, the anxiety of   singing in front of large groups can also keep employees from participating. One way to help get the KARAOKE singing going is to pre-assign different departments to do a group song. Pass our songlist   around to the different departments, so that each may pick a particular song. This will create some  excitement for the party, encourage team work and allow your employees to get really creative with the   songs and costumes. You could also make it a contest and give away a prize to the winning team         or department!

Another idea to break the ice is to have the managers each sing a song. It is always nice for the employees  to view their managers in a "different light" and it will promote a relaxed atmosphere for more singing.

KARAOKE FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Karaoke is great for the singer! But, what about everyone else? It is true that Karaoke can't get everyone   involved at the same time like a DJ can with a line dance. But, by encouraging others to dance, play  inflatable musical instruments, or act as back-up singers while the other singers are performaing, our DJ/KJ   will involve more of the guests. Another way our Karaoke host can break the ice is by singing common  party songs, encouraging audience participation. By  visiting different tables and each group of guest with  a wireless microphone, the KJ can get more people involved in the fun!

How can we afford Karaoke at our School Fair?: Karaoke and school fairs go very well together.   Karaoke can be used as part of the fund raiser, or as separate entertainment. Either way, the kids and adults  will love it. Karaoke may not generate huge profits, but you will be able to cover your cost, while providing   great entertainment. The best way to generate revenue with Karaoke at a fair is to have the "Karaoke Stars"  pay with their tickets to sing. During one hour, you can get roughly 16 songs sung/perfomed. Depending   on the price of each ticket, a normal cost schedule would be; 4 tickets for one singer, 3 tickets per person  for two singers and 2 tickets per person for three or more singers. We can also tape record each  performance & charge extra tickets for recording the singer(s) on cassette tape. Lastly, assign some  chaperones to help with the sign up and taking tickets, this will speed things up, increasing the number of  kids able to sing.

How do you integrate Karaoke at All Night Graduation Parties, Lock-ins, After Prom Parties, etc? Karaoke at All Night Graduation or Prom parties is one the most popular attractions. Typically, the Karaoke  is set up on its own, away from any other musical entertainment, unless using our DJ/Karaoke combo. If   Karaoke is separate, set up the Karaoke near the other games and attractions. This will add music to an  otherwise quiet area and will get more visibility and use. If you use our DJ/Karaoke combo, you may want   us to set up the system in the food area for the teens to watch & participate while relaxing and/or eating.

Do you do Karaoke for Birthday Parties? Karaoke at a Birthday party is always successful. You'll probally want to have our DJ/Karaoke combo at your party. With this package, the DJ/Karaoke host has   more flexibility to entertain the guests.  In order to involve all the guests, most parties benefit from other   activities. By rotating through "dance sets" with groups dancing, and "Karaoke sets" with groups singing,  the DJ/KJ will help keep everyone entertained. We suggest that for kids parties, elementary age kids   should have a two hour maximum Karaoke show, and older kids about three hours. It is better to leave them  wishing their was more, rather than wishing there was less. Much fun can be had during thtis time period,  and the memories will last a lifetime.

I need to entertain a School Organization, CYO or other Teen Group on Tour, can Karaoke help? Karaoke coupled with DJ entertainment is a great way to entertain traveling teens. After a day of  sightseeing, the kids in the group are still "wound up" and ready to continue. Throwing a pizza party with a   DJ/Karaoke combo will contain the kids to one supervised area of the hotel, occupying them for the night.  To increase excitement, have the DJ/Karaoke event on their last night, and promoting & building it up   during the week. This closing night activity will provide one last chance for a group activity, and promote enthusiasm for the next year's trip.
